The small Tirol resort Pertisau is situated approx. 50 km east of Innsbruck, on the shore of Achen lake, the largest Tirol lake, which is known for its clean water (drinking water quality). There are a number of entertainment possibilities such as folklore events, guest library, cafes, bars, discos and concerts such as the annual Pertisauer Music Festival week in July. There is a ship trip on the Achen lake, the various 'Steinol'applications in the resort or a visit to the Silberbergwerg Schwaz (approx. 30 km).

The Karwendel mountain railways is a lovely ski area with other 7 tow lifts and 10 km of best prepared ski-runs. Further mountain railways in the surrounding area (Achenkirch, Maurach). The valleys of Karwendel around Pertisau has about 150 km of prepared cross country ski-trail and 40 km of cleared rambling ways. Ski and cross country ski-trail, horse-driven sleigh rides, ice rink, curling, winter golf driving range, toboggan, indoor swimming pool.

Lovely ramblings in the 3 valleys of Karwendels (nature reserve) or in the mountain world of Rofan mountains. The flat descending Achen lake is ideal for bathing, specially for children as well as for surfing, sailing, diving, rowing and fishing. There is a surfing and sailing school in the resort as well as a paddling and rowing boat hire, a 9 hole golf course with driving range and 6 tennis courts plus two indoor courts with tennis school. Squash, bowling, boccia, mini golf, mountain biking, cycling, street ball, sauna, solarium, horse-driven sleigh trips, childrens fairy tale parcours and childrens programme.
