Описание курорта Elbigenalp (Эльбигенальп)
Known as the wood-carver village, Elbigenalp is the main resort in the Lech
Valley which is close to the German border between the Alberg and the Zugspitze.
With its 6 hamlets, stretching 5 km along the Lech river, this village was founded
some 1000 years ago and is the oldest village in the resort. Tradition, custom,
informality, natural beauty, artificial treasures, a wide range of sport and culture
can all be found in the Lech Valley. Performances on the "Geierwally" open air stage.
Bach/Stockach in the Lech Valley (1060m): This children-friendly resort was once a
part of the Elbigenalp and today is an independent municipality on the western part
of the Elbigenalp. Destination: Reutte (35 km).
The Lech Valley is home to many Austrian Top-Athletes. Sonnenalm and Jochelspitze ski
lifts in the Elbigenalp and Bach and to Warth am Arlberg (23 km) with the free ski bus.
Ski school, ski hire, cross country skiing on 100 km of tracks through the Lech Valley,
hiking on the vast winter hiking paths, toboganning, horse-drawn sleigh, ice-skating.
Indoor swimming pool in Steeg (12 km).
Hiking, mountain climbing, bicycle and mountain bike tracks, swimming pool with water
slide, tennis courts, fitness centre, paragliding and hang-gliding in this active part
of the northen Alps, kayak tours and rafting on the Lech, riding, adventure playground,
carving school, wood-carving lessons, art classes.
