Situated in the rear part of the Pitztal (valley) is the community of St Leonhard which covers 20 km. Many small typical villages which were built in the Tirol architecture, characterize the 'Innerpitztal' (inner Pitz valley).Dancing evenings, dia lectures, disco, bowling, and a number of celebrations and concerts. Railway station is Imst-Pitztal (35km).

A common ski pass for a whole year's area of the Pitztaler Glacier railway (Gletscher U-Bahn "Pitzexpress", "Pitzpanoramabahn", a number of lifts and a 15 km long glacier ski-run) and the memorable skiing area of Rifflsee (1 chair lift, 2 tow lifts, 6 lovely ski-runs (well-prepared) for beginners. A 9 km long high cross country ski-run for advanced and the demanding ones.) Winter rambling, toboggan, snow board, ski school, ski hire, ski bus (free of charge), 20 km valley ski-run.

Rambling area around the picturesque high mountain lake (2840), Austria's highest cable way (3440 m) - the Pitz panoramic railway- as a starting point for mountain tours, mountain bikes, rafting, para-gliding, hang-gliding, tennis, climbling, summer skiing.
